TAG-Domains Renews Registry-Registrar Agreement with Qatar’s CRA

DOHA – Qatar’s Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA) and Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Domains (TAG-Domains), a subsidiary of Abu-Ghazaleh Intellectual Property (AGIP) and an ICANN accredited registrar, renewed the Registry-Registrar Agreement (RRA).

The CRA regulates the communications, information technology and postal sectors, as well as access to digital media and ensures the efficient management and registration of country code top-level domain (ccTLD) of Qatar like .qa and the Arabic name .قطر, which is managed directly by the CRA through accredited registrars.

 
TAG-Domains is an accredited ICANN registrar for the most popular generic Top-Level Domains (gTLDs) (.com and .net) and country-code Top-Level Domains (ccTLDs) in countries where Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global (TAG.Global) provides its services.

Commenting on the agreement renewal, Mr. Mahmoud Lattouf, TAG-Domains Executive Director, said: “This achievement signifies another milestone for TAG-Domains, which offers online registration of (.qa) and  (.قطر) domain names to all Internet users, irrespective of their geographical location”.

 According to the agreement, TAG-Domains is authorized by the CRA to be a registrar for the following domains:

·       .qa

·       com.qa

·       net.qa

·       name.qa

·       .قطر
